Phones may store several eSIM profiles but allow fewer lines to remain active at the same time. The exact limits depend on the model, sales region, operating-system version, and carrier configuration.

Stored and active are different

A stored profile can remain installed while turned off. An active line is enabled for network use. A device might store multiple profiles while allowing only one or two mobile lines to be active.

Check the exact device

Use the manufacturer documentation for the precise model number and region. Do not assume that every phone in a product family has the same storage or dual-eSIM capability.

Manage profiles carefully

Do not delete just to troubleshoot

Many travel profiles cannot simply be reinstalled with the same QR code. First turn the line off and on, check the data SIM, and contact support. Read why the eSIM should not be deleted.
