Brazil eSIM Installation and Hotspot Guide

Traveler using a phone and laptop on the Brazilian coast for the setup guide

Quick answer

Install the Brazil eSIM on stable Wi-Fi, keep it on the original phone, select it as the mobile-data line and enable Data Roaming if instructed. Do not delete the profile while troubleshooting.

Before installation

  • Confirm the exact phone model and regional version support eSIM.
  • Make sure the device is carrier-unlocked.
  • Connect to dependable Wi-Fi.
  • Keep the QR email open on another screen.
  • Review the selected duration and delivery instructions.

Service days usually begin when installation completes. Install close enough to departure that the selected duration covers the last day. Switching the line off does not pause the validity period.

Install on iPhone

  1. Open Settings > Cellular or Mobile Data.
  2. Tap Add eSIM, then Use QR Code.
  3. Scan the EasyTripGo code and follow the prompts.
  4. Label the line “EasyTripGo Brazil.”

Install on Android

  1. Open Settings and find SIM Manager, Connections or Network & internet.
  2. Choose Add eSIM or Download a SIM.
  3. Scan the QR code and approve installation.
  4. Give the new profile a clear label.

Menu wording varies by brand and system version. Do not share the QR code, scan it on the wrong phone or delete the profile after an error.

Connect in Brazil

  1. Turn on the EasyTripGo line.
  2. Select it as the data SIM. On a dual-SIM phone, confirm the home line is not still selected for data.
  3. Enable Data Roaming for EasyTripGo if instructed.
  4. Keep automatic network selection on initially.
  5. Turn off Wi-Fi and test a webpage.
  6. If necessary, use Airplane Mode for 15–30 seconds or restart.

The plan uses Claro where available. Manual selection of Claro can help if automatic registration fails.

Set up mobile hotspot

On iPhone, open Settings > Personal Hotspot. On Android, search Settings for Hotspot, Tethering or Mobile Hotspot. Use a strong password and switch hotspot off when finished.

All connected devices share the same allowance. Pause laptop updates, cloud backup and automatic uploads. For Unlimited-Basic, follow the selected variant and delivery email for speed and fair-use conditions.

Troubleshooting checklist

Problem Check first
No data Correct data SIM, line enabled and roaming setting
Signal but no internet Airplane Mode, restart, Claro selection and remaining data
Cannot install Wi-Fi, compatibility, carrier lock and whether the QR was already used
Hotspot device offline Phone connection, hotspot password and plan allowance

Never delete the eSIM as the first troubleshooting step. If fixed data is exhausted, purchase a new Brazil eSIM plan; do not assume the installed plan supports top-up.

Frequently asked questions

Can I move the eSIM to another phone?

Do not assume it is transferable. Contact support before changing devices or deleting it.

Can my normal SIM stay active?

Yes on compatible dual-SIM phones. Select EasyTripGo for data and disable home-carrier data roaming to reduce unexpected charges.

Why does hotspot use data quickly?

Laptops and tablets may run updates, backups and high-quality streaming in the background.
