Your first useful connection in Egypt may be a message to your hotel, an airport pickup confirmation or a map to your accommodation. Preparing your eSIM in advance gives you a chance to check the essentials while you still have reliable Wi-Fi.

This guide covers EasyTripGo's Egypt eSIM. It is a data-only service: no local phone number, standard voice calls or SMS are included.

Before Departure: Check Your Phone and Order

• Confirm that your exact phone model and regional version support eSIM.
• Make sure the phone is carrier-unlocked.
• Choose enough service days for the period you need mobile data, including arrival and departure.
• Save your order email, installation instructions and support contact somewhere you can access offline.

On iPhone, Apple's international eSIM guide explains device requirements and using a travel line. Android menus vary by manufacturer, so use the instructions for your own device.

Understand the Two Different Validity Periods

The installation code has a 90-day validity. Your purchased mobile-data plan has a separate service duration, selected from 3 to 30 days. A 90-day installation window does not mean 90 days of mobile service.

Read the activation instructions before installing. Do not assume the service clock starts at midnight, at purchase, or only when you first browse: follow the rule supplied with your order. If you are buying far in advance, check that your intended installation falls within the code's validity.

Install with a Stable Internet Connection

1. Connect to reliable Wi-Fi and open the supplied instructions.
2. Use the phone's add-eSIM option and the QR code or other installation details provided.
3. Give the new line a clear label, such as “Egypt Travel.”
4. Keep your usual number identifiable so you do not confuse it with the travel line.
5. Follow the order instructions for when to enable the eSIM and begin service.

Apple also provides a QR-code installation guide. Do not post your QR code publicly or share it with anyone other than trusted support.

After Landing: Get Online Before Leaving the Airport

1. Enable the Egypt eSIM at the time specified by your activation instructions.
2. Select it as the mobile-data line.
3. Apply the supplied data-roaming and APN settings; do not invent an APN.
4. Disable data roaming on your home line if you do not intend to use its roaming service.
5. Turn off automatic data switching if you want to prevent the phone from falling back to the home line.
6. Test a webpage and send a message before leaving the airport's Wi-Fi area.

Know Which Data Allowance You Bought

Fixed plans include 3GB–50GB total for the selected period. The Unlimited GB option includes 1GB of high-speed data per day, then unlimited data at up to 5 Mbps. It is not unlimited full-speed service. Hotspot sharing is supported, and connected devices use the same allowance.

If the Connection Does Not Work

Check that the correct line is enabled, that the plan is within its service period, and that the supplied settings are applied. Toggle airplane mode, restart the phone and try a different location if reception is weak. A signal icon alone does not prove that mobile data is configured correctly.

Do not delete the eSIM as a first troubleshooting step. Contact EasyTripGo support on WhatsApp with your order details and relevant error screenshots. Keep a saved hotel address and pickup instructions available even if the phone has no signal.
