Choose between Asia eSIM for 12 Destinations and Asia eSIM for 28 Destinations by your full itinerary. The larger destination count does not mean the second product includes every destination in the first.

The no-KYC statement above applies specifically to Hong Kong and Taiwan on the 28-destination product. It is not a blanket statement about every destination or every eSIM. Do not transfer the 12-destination product's network list, Unlimited limits, activation window, hotspot rules or installation timing to the 28-destination product; confirm the selected product's terms with support where not stated.
Choose by route, not just destination count
For Singapore → Malaysia → Thailand, the 12-destination plan includes all three stops; the 28-destination product currently excludes Singapore. For India → Thailand → Vietnam, the 28-destination product lists all three. If your route is Hong Kong → Taiwan → Japan, both products list the stops, but only the 12-destination product requires the passport-based KYC described below for Hong Kong and Taiwan.

A regional Asia eSIM can reduce the number of separate data plans you manage during a multi-destination journey. But “Asia” is not a universal coverage promise. Choose by your actual itinerary, service dates and data needs. This guide uses the current EasyTripGo Asia eSIM for 12 Destinations to explain the decisions that matter; other products can have different rules.
12-Destination Asia Plan: Essential Details
- Coverage: Mainland China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
- Fixed data: a total allowance for your selected plan period across supported destinations.
- Unlimited: 1GB high-speed data per day, then unlimited data at up to 5Mbps. The high-speed allowance resets daily.
- Activate within 90 days of purchase; installation starts your selected service duration.
- Hotspot is supported; connected devices share your data usage.
- Data only: no phone number, traditional voice minutes or SMS allowance.
- Hong Kong and Taiwan require KYC with passport information.
Does the coverage list match your route?
A route such as Singapore → Malaysia → Thailand, or Japan → South Korea → Taiwan, uses destinations on the 12-destination product's list. Include short stopovers where you need mobile data in your checks. Cambodia, Laos and India are not included in the 12-destination product; all three appear in the 28-destination product. Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and mainland China are listed separately for coverage purposes.
Regional or destination-specific?
A regional plan can be convenient if several stops fall within one coverage list. A destination-specific plan may suit a trip based in one place. Neither type is automatically cheaper or faster: compare the current price, allowance, network and activation rules for the exact product. Do not apply the network or fair-use policy from a standalone Japan or Hong Kong plan to this regional eSIM.
Choose the data structure
For lighter use, compare 5GB over 15 days. If you expect daily browsing, social media or photo uploads, look at 10GB or 20GB. Larger allowances can help with heavier use, but no single amount is right for everyone. A fixed allowance is shared across your trip; it is not a fresh allowance for each destination.
Unlimited has a different structure: 1GB high-speed each day, followed by data at up to 5Mbps until the daily allowance resets. This is not unlimited full-speed data. Actual speed may be lower because of reception or congestion. Do not assume unused daily data rolls over or that the reset happens at midnight in your home time zone.
Hong Kong and Taiwan: KYC Depends on Your Product
For the 12-destination Asia eSIM, use in Hong Kong and Taiwan requires KYC identity verification, including uploading passport information. The 28-destination Asia eSIM does not require KYC for Hong Kong or Taiwan. Follow the verification instructions supplied for your order before relying on connectivity in these destinations. If you cannot find the process, contact EasyTripGo support. Do not assume scanning the eSIM QR code completes KYC, or that verification for one destination automatically covers another. Processing time and any additional steps should be checked in your order instructions.
Upload passport information only through the designated verification process. Never post passport images, QR codes or ICCIDs in public comments. If a message or upload link seems unexpected, verify it with support before submitting documents.
Plan when to install
Buy ahead within the 90-day activation window if convenient, but install close to when you need service. Installation starts the selected duration, not arrival in the first destination. Crossing borders does not give you a new service period. Use an existing internet connection for setup and allow time for any required identity verification.
Prepare for network changes
The same regional profile can be used across supported destinations during its valid period, but the local network and technology can change. Allow time for the phone to register after arrival. Coverage may vary indoors, on islands or in rural and mountainous areas. Keep essential maps and tickets available offline, and follow support guidance if the phone does not reconnect.
